Rea on Dea ...
(Article in EON)
|
Veils
that cover the resplendent image of the Love and Grandeur of
Dea, the Generator, of the Venerable Mother of the Knights
of the Lily, dissolve, so that Her gaze may plunge into the
bosom of this noble assembly, and our emotion at Her sight
may exalt our hearts and elevate our spirit towards Her.
|
|
Venerable
Mother, to describe Your image is to express the profound
truths that You taught while You were with us. And can I
shirk this duty, now that You appear before their eyes, on
this inanimate canvas, just as You were and just as You are
in our immortality?
|
|
Brothers
and Sisters, lift your eyes and look: these are the features
of Dea, the Generator, of your Venerable Mother. These are
the features of the one who, with Her powerful arm,
constructed the Dome under which you are sheltered.
|
|
She
sits on Her marble throne, upright and immobile. She is the
symbol of merciful justice, not judicial justice. Her eyes
are filled with light and her look, both surprised and
worried, full of love, scrutinizes your hearts. She is
surprised at the absence of those who should be here, and
She is worried about those who are no longer here. The first
are the forgetful ones; the others are the sinners.
|
|
If
Her heart could beat under the clothes She wears, it would
beat for them, the absent ones. It would not beat for you,
who are present, faithful to Her voice. For you, She makes a
gesture. Look carefully and you will see it. She is about to
rise and open Her arms to you. Can you see it? Try to
understand the symbol.

|
Dea,
beloved Sister, one of Your Knights picked up his brush and,
in concentration and piety, traced Your features in his
studio. Your soul penetrated into him and it is through this
beautiful inspiration that this work came forth, for the
happiness of Your faithful Dames and Knights.
|
|
Accept
this gift as evidence of the pure love of one of Your
Knights.
|
|
And
you, my Brothers and Sisters, bend your knee before these
noble features and cry out with me:
|
|
MAY HER WORK LIVE
