Order of the Lily and the Eagle

The Order of the Lily and the Eagle was founded about a hundred years ago and comes with the aim of helping humanity advance both collectively and individually. With its motto:

the unique goal of the Order is to deliver humanity from hardship and its difficulties. Any person who expresses such an interest - to affirm who they truly are and thereby contribute to a better society - are welcome to join the Order so that they can be guided and supported by its Teaching in a process of self-liberation and self-evolution.

The liberation and evolution of the members of the Order is accomplished by the study and application of its Teaching. And like every authentic Initiatic school, its Teaching is both complete and ideally structured to meet and fulfil all the demands and difficulties of our time. The Teaching is practical, applicable and most of all, achievable even though it requires a degree of effort.

Each member of the Order undertakes not only a personal effort but also is committed to the realisation of 'Universal Charity'. By this we do not mean that the Order is a mutual benefit society. The work of the Order extends to all people as the aim of 'Universal Charity' is to help everyone at the physical, psychical and spiritual levels and to awaken every person to the injustices of this world.

As the Order of the Lily and the Eagle considers the freedom and independence of each person as being of an overriding importance, it creates for each member that is following the path of Initiation, an environment that is free of prejudice, dogma as well as any moral and intellectual doctrines. In this way, an individual can discover and develop their own unique personality without any external influences. This is a true education and is the starting point for all conscious beings that wish to better themselves and desire to contribute towards a healthier social life for all.

But what is Initiation? Is it a secret society? Is it a way of acquiring mystical powers? Is it enlightenment or immortality gained by the 'elixir of life'?

It is none of these. Every serious Initiation - which is genuine - is a teaching that involves considerable effort, hard work and a steady persistence. Initiation aims not only to impart profound and transcendental truths but, through this very knowledge, to bring about a transformation at all levels of the being; physically, morally and mentally. To form a unique personality, each adherent must overcome and discard all the influences and conditioning that has, up until that moment in their life, fettered and obscured their true purpose. In short, to be and to express what they truly are.

The work of the Order is to help its members acquire their individual freedom and recover their unique personality as well as helping in the task of establishing 'Love and Reciprocity' throughout all humanity.

The Eonian Tradition that the Order of the Lily and the Eagle holds to, consists of the study and application of - initially - the first 15 theorems of the Teaching. These 'keys' are are given freely to the Adherent - according to the methodology of Initiation - without any further commitment to the Order.
